752 on "Top of the lift at ERA" - Update 1/24
Just wanted to give you guys an updated on ERA 752. I've had the car at ERA since probably mid Oct waiting for the primaries and undercar exhaust to be installed. I've actually made significant process from a parts perspective and can soon install everything I found.
Went down to ERA today and Doug will be installing the pipes this week. John said it might be ready for inspection by weeks end (next week that is).
I was able to find many parts including original Trico bottle, manual washer knob on dash, washer hose, original Casco lighter, original sprayer jets next to windshield wipers, close to original orange hose for overflow on the expansion tank, original rear view mirror with wrinkle finish and "pronged" brackets, original bumper with correct tabs for license plate bracket and the license plate bracket, etc.
I've included some pics.
Happy New Year!

428street,
What a beautiful car! Sounds like you found some orange hose that's close enough ... keep us posted!

Ya,it's close...I'm still searching for the Gates hose but that will be a needle in a hay stack - someone would just have to have some old stock laying around...on the bright side, never thought I would find half the stuff I did for this car but like anything...a little hard work and you can make anything happen!

The car looks great
428street You are a lucky guy to have your car on the lift. The best part is having an FE motor with no oil leaks. They have a car parked under yours. Gald you found the special parts for the car. Rick L.

Frank, your car is beautiful. I'm glad you're just about ready to run (got the snow tires mounted on the extra Sunbursts?). It should only be a 3/4 hour run down to Milford from New Britain, long enough to freeze your a$$ off. Any pics from the underside?
Lookin' forward to run with you in the Spring. Good luck.

Rich/All:
Thanks for the kind words. I put a ton of time into the details and I'm still not done but I'm doing baby steps now. I just want to drive and enjoy the car for a bit...I took some underside picts but they came out all black. Probably go back mid week to take some more...

Beautiful car. Take a lot of shots when you're up there -- it's like a toy store for grown men. Even now I'm tempted to just hop on a plane and fly up there and just wander around the shop for an afternoon.

Frank
Your car is beautiful. I was looking it over during the ERA Christmas party. I'm heading up to ERA tomorrow to repaint my white sidepipes so I will have the pleasure of checking it out some more.

I've posted some under-car pictures here. The floors have been insulated underneath in anticipation of the under-car exhaust.
See the original cast-iron bellhousing and Ford oil pan?

I remember when mine was in that position - great feeling. The guys at ERA do a great job. My odometer just turned 2890 miles yesterday. Didn't get more miles on in the past year due to a lot of travel. Enjoy!! Rick

Update - 1/9/09
I went to ERA today to check out the progress of 752. I was amazed when I got there as the under car exhaust was on, doors were lined up and Doug was starting to tick off some of the little things I either wanted changed or could not handle. It is close. Doug says he's going to fire it up next week!
Sorry about no pics but my camera STB. I did take some video but now I can't find the dang cable that attaches to my computer. Buying a new camera tomorrow.

Very cool color combo. undercar exhaust !!!! WOOHOOO!!!! I am glad i am not the only one!!!
if you are looking for some of the lucas decals and such , there is a guy on ebay UK who sells them in sets for XK150 restorations which would be about the same timing.
