Good deal I've also got a couple of pairs of the Puma Cats and swear by them.
Oh yeah...6' 2" stock SPF seat with no rails, bolted to the floor all the way back. I've got about an inch of wiggle room between my knee and the dash, but I can drive it all day in comfort.

I went to talk stare at the car for a bit this morning, i am planning on modifying the existing seat but as a fall back a i may just have a friend weld something up. I will put up some pictures if I get the stock seat to work, or of whatever I get made.
I bought a pair of simpson impression shoes that are pretty good (and cheap!). not the most comfortable but i can stop and walk around a little easier. i would love pumas but they stop just short of my size.
and thanks for the efi tips. I have been a little put off by the prices but the edlebrock does not seem that bad.

I think the largest Puma is size US 14. I normally wear 13's, but the Puma 13 was too tight. I was able to buy 14's through their on-line store.

"Clown cars"...you got that right. I saw one on the Taconic late last summer, and it almost kept me from putting down the deposit. Looked ridiculous. I'm just over 6' and have the Kirkey on order, so I hope we have no issues.

Just how much protection/deflection does the USRRC windshield provide? Is it possible to keep a hat on? The car looks awesome with that set-up.

I drove my friends 427 ERA with the seat bottoms in the trunk. = worked like a charm. thought about getting a couple of throw pillows and putting them on the floor. --
I am sure you can solve your seating issue with a smaller (thinner) seat that is tilted back. -- I am sure ERA can provide tips and tricks to move the footbox area to get your angles right. --
On the EFI portion are you considering stack type or plenum type >? Mass air or speed density >?

Kramer -- do you have the adjustable seat tracks? I recall Doug telling me that those alone eat up over an inch and a half of vertical room.

Well, I don't know. But I will tell you that pulling a seat out is pretty darn easy. Frankly, it's easier than changing the oil. It's just four bolts and pull, and they're not hard to get to. Mounting directly to the floor is just as easy. I'll say this one last time and then I'll let it go -- when I sat in Peter P.'s car my head was wwwaaayyyy over the windshield -- scary over -- so over that if it couldn't be corrected it would have been a deal killer. But damn it was a soft and comfy cushion. Probably nicer than the easy chair I'm sitting in right now as I type this. I don't know, maybe it had six inches of down feathers stuffed in there. Regardless, I fit in my car pretty nicely... and you can too; the room is there, you just have to use it wisely.

I have some seat mounts in the classifieds here that will incline the seat back slightly and only raise the back of the seat approx. 1/2" and the front approx. 1 3/8". I can make them incline any amount you want and keep the rear 1/2" to keep them close to the floor.
I found with my seats I needed to incline my seats back slightly to give me some room because of the wheel arches. I'm only 5'11", but I have a 34" inseam and need as much legroom as I can muster. With this set up, it gives me just enough to fit into my car and under the dash with my legs.

Hey all,
Just a couple quick responses since I been off line for a few days.
1) Patrickt - I do have seat tracks, however the only one is use is the one on the passenger side. I fabbed up my own bracked so I could mount the ken miles seat directly to the floor.
2) With regard to the racing windshield, I have grown to really like it. While it is not high enough to keep a ball cap on, it is high enought to keep the bulk of the wind out of my face. I ride harleys a lot...so for me it is kind of like running a small half windshield...(i.e. not enough to create and complete wind dampening effect but enough so you are not blown around.
