the adrenalin rush must be huge right now. Two fine automobiles. I'm green with envy.
We look forward to some show pics, maybe take a laptop and post a few (thousand) this weekend. I don't think I can wait until next week.

Nothing like having 10 minutes between finishing the car and driving it onto the trailer...
More pictures of the finished car

Hopefully the latest round of pictures will hold you over. The folks ast ERA may need to install a live satellite web cam to beam pictures 24 hours a day.
Once again, the car is simply stunning! Congratulations to the ERA team and to Jim on his new toy!

I didn't know ERA was developing a new pilot TV show to compete with Foose's Overhaulin'.
Right now, I'm not sure Jim could survive any of those prank "your car's been stolen" calls.

What an outstanding example of a "Way Back Time Machine". That's what you saw when you went to your friendly Shelby authorized Ford Dealer in 1964.

Congratulations, Jim, and all the ERA guys. You've got a winner here!

Jim and the ERA crew ... Congratulations on a fabulous car, have great time showing it off at the Carlisle show! I have no doubt there will be quite a crowd wanting to take a close up look.

Sweet looking car. Wish I could get down to Carlisle to see it.
Can you just imagine a car like that with big fat tires, side pipes and huge huge engine in it?

Folks:
Carlisle was innteresting this year. The number of "Cobra" Replica manufacturers present was down from prior years, but building "T" was full. For someone looking to purchase a car, it was still a good opportunity to compare various companies.
The ERA "slabside" was well received and Steve Temple took pictures for an upcoming Kit Car magazine article.
Patrick has posted several pictures from the show. It was great to have three cars there and, frankly, the "slabside" would not have happened without the enthusiastic support of Tony Stefan, who did the bodywork and paint, Doug and Rob for the assembly and obsessing over the details, Jack for the interior and Adam and his crew in the welding shop for the chassis modifications. The ERAGT, which also turned a wheel for the first time last Wednesday, would not have happened but for the efforts of Ted and son, Jessie. ...and all of it would not have happened without Peter P's efforts. I've dealt with ERA now for almost 25 years and, frankly, they continue to outdo themselves.
...and thanks to all of you for your positive responses.
Looking forward, I do plan to try and get to the Ford show at Carlisle with the Slabside. See you there.
Jim
PS: ....and the show was a great place to reconnect with so many of you... Blackjack, SSSammy, Rick Lake and many more.

Great sound link
Thanks for posting all the pics!
I was looking at the engine compartment and making "broooom brackety brackety" noises (Thank god I work from a home office).
Then I see the link to the sound file and get to hear the real deal!
Awesome car in every way!

Uhhh, kinda... that was my FE you were listening to. I don't think Jim's car sounds like that. But I'm sure it sounds very nice nonetheless (remember though, it's a small block).

It sounds more like an old Chris Craft motor boat, burbling along... nice and mellow. Just the ticket for those evening rides to a restaurant with your POSOCLQ.
