I briefly talked with Bob this afternoon and had a voice mail message back from Peter earlier in the day ... they have my check and I am on 'the list', so I am very happy. I'll talk with Peter some time the middle of next week, and get a better sense of where things stand schedule wise.
Things are very busy at ERA, as they have been getting ready for Carlisle. The new slab side project for Jim Holden looks awesome (see the thread ... ERA Skunk Works - the latest). In spite of all that, Bob and Peter took the time to talk with me, which is really cool. I am looking forward to working with these guys.
So for me, it's time to hurry up and wait ... more time to post questions and do my homework!

Tim, the waiting is the worst, but you picked a winner.
I would be curious to hear the details when you get them next week. Keep us apprised.

Tim - Any guesstimate about what the delivery lead time for recent cars has been? They turned the Slabside around in about 6 months, but it sounded like they were crunching to finish it for the show. Some co-pilot seat time here and there will help meet your immediate Cobra fix while you wait.

Great choice. ERA is fantastic. Customer service is second to none! The wait and the build are a wonderfull experience, but the first time you drive it: I can attest it takes about 24 hrs to wipe the smile off your face!

Doug,
I don't really know at this point, have not had that conversation yet with ERA, they are busy!
My guess is 4 to 6 months for a roller, maybe sooner, the economy being the way it is. I think the slab side was an all out effort by many at ERA, there is nothing like a deadline to get things done!
Co-pilot seat time ... good idea ... or I'll just keep on driving the TR, which is similar in size to a Cobra (has an 88" wheel base). It even sounds pretty decent for a straight 6. The biggest thing lacking ... Horsepower, and the Cobra (when it's done) will fix that real quick!
