Why bother? Anything that's not Shelby is shunned at these meets. It may be great for spectators, but the snobbery displayed by the (ball) saac scratching group shows they don't want our cash. Too many 'real' events that welcome the rest of us to pay for this deal.

We arrived this afternoon and saw your display area. We'll be stopping by tomorrow to chat and take a look at what you brought with you this year.

We're back from our trek to Western PA and the SAAC convention. The event was smaller than last year, shorter (two days) and fewer participants. The car show on Friday was 20 miles away from the track, so there appeared to be a number of folks who didn't make it to the track from the show and vice versa.
It is with a "start" that I recall that the first SAAC convention I attended was some 24 years ago and now an increasingly distant memory.
We had a good time (except for the exploding trailer tire) and it is always good to see the usual cast of characters who show up for this event.
There was a photo shoot of Peter's "3252" Clone Car and the Slab Side that focused on the similarities and differences between the two cars.
We ate too much.
I participated in the parade laps with both the slabside and ERAGT 2077, both turning a wheel for the first time.
...and now on to the Vintage Races at Lime Rock over Labor Day weekend.

Great to see you again, Jim.
Your slab-side and Peter's clone of his original were both stunning.
They're still "making the magic" in New Britain.
Tell Peter, Bob, and Phil I said "Hello".
regards,
Jeff
