Everyone complains about heat in the footboxes, but I've never noticed that that my feet were too hot on the summer days or that my feet were kept warm on cold winter days, and I have driven in temps as high as the upper 90 and below freezing in the winter.

As for the seat heaters, I can honestly say that I have never wished I had them, even on the coldest of days. Once I'm in the seat, it is not my butt or my back that gets cold, but rather my thighs. The heater does a pretty good keeping the feet and lower legs warm, but the wind always makes the top of my thighs cold. If I could figure out how to wire up a set of heated long johns that would be about perfect.

I'm back, having used up all my allotted yearly vacation days. (That would be 7...)

I'm heading up to ERA next Thursday, the 17th, to say hello to the guys and see the shop. I'll also be heading to CT Custom Car as my paint should be finishing up right about then.

I'll be taking my camera, so if anybody is looking for an update on their build let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Any advice before my visit?

Updates on this thread:
Going with 3.31 rear and 0.82 OD
Leaving interior and trunk bare. Will figure what to do with it in a few months.
Added Canton Oil Thermostat
GM White Diamond Tricoat stripes
Decided to have heated seats

Heated Seats? WTF?? I've drove to ERA in 19 degree weather last January, and the only thing that froze was my bald head (with top up).

Having recently moved from Hawaii and now currently freezing my azz off, suddenly, heated seats don't sound so bad...

If they're still using greasable front u-joints on the drive shaft, ask Bob if he's come up with the trap door to make it accessible. With the outboard braked rear, you really can't get to it from beneath.

I can't address the heated seat issue as my lard a$$ contains plenty of BTU on its own but as to the need for a heater in Florida....get it! No one has mentioned its primary purpose in Florida---drying out the interior on the way home after getting caught in a Florida monsoon after you left the house and forgot the top. Don't ask me how I know.

Wow, what a flash of understanding that was John!!! You make a strong case for a heater in HAWAII, having been caught in a few down pours their myself...

But that was then, this is now, I need heated seats, defroster, heater, soft top, the whole nine yards. And not to dry out, to keep freakin' warm!

Another reason to keep the interior bare for now.

Default Creature Comforts

It's a very large engine that just happens to have a drivers compartment attached to it....Not sure there's much you can do to change that.

I laughed when I saw the cup holder on today's home page. You'd have to like coffee or alcohol an awful lot to require one of these. A Jaguar it's not.

My suggestion? A parachute.

Great pictures. Hoped there might be a glimpse of #782 in there. It's a street roadster version that is ready to ship. I think that is the day I called Peter and he said they were loading a car outside and it was about 5 deg. He said I saved his life by calling him and giving him an excuse to come in.
