I can't even imagine driving my car with 800+ RWHP. Good God.

That is something. That car has 8's in its future.
Cant wait to see that.
I offer a hearty "Good job" to all that were involved in the build.

I'd still put my money on that small block
Seriously, very nice car and impressive performance. And I agree, with 800rwhp he should be able to do 8s.

WOW!! I am suprised even with Drag radials he is able to get it to hook that well. That takes a big pair to go that fast in a cobra!

Shouldn't he have more than a single hoop rollbar to go that fast?

My local drag strip laughed when I asked if I could bring my cobra! Then told me I could bring it on test and tune night for 1 run if I took it easy. Does that make sense????? Jim

Pretty impressive, but there are street driven C5 Corvettes that run 8s weighing close to half a ton more than that overgrown go kart.

marcocsx3121,
My mom has a corvette. Got for her 60th birthday, she really likes it. It suits her. Maybe for the same reasons yours suits you.

Sure. But in our own little Universe (which is all things Cobra all of the time), that's pretty damn fast.

Good point. There is not a (sanctioned/legal) track in the country that wouldn't have been kicking and screaming at him as he was escorted out of the facility. "....And STAY OUT!"
I'd like to see the time slip and the 60' time, altitude equiv., etc. I'm not saying he didn't run that. It's just that you don't sneak up on that by running mid 11's (and keeping the track stewards somewhat happy and even-keeled), and then all of sudden throw down the gauntlet and click off a deep 9.

If your mom's had just short of 800 RWHP like mine, she might like it even better. Smart ass.

How many C5 Corvettes have been produced? I would hope a few of them are faster than the rest of them which average in the 13s.

Here's a decent (documented 10.5 second 1/4 mile) time for an FFR runnng a Ford Racing 347. They won't even let Cobras run at Sears point...maybe we'll have to make a road trip to Fontana.
