Convertible Springs

I have a 1989 Mustang convertible donor car. Joe, at FFR told me that it has stiffer rear springs. Will this mess up the balance of the car? Would it work better with the heavy front springs? I don't want to spend money on the coil-over suspension... 'druther save it up for the IRS, possibly later.

I am facing the same situation. I sold the vert coils and will buy a set of std coils. They are pretty cheap.

I started out with the convertible springs...After a time changed over to the coil springs. (Ease of changing ride height)

The convertible springs seemed fine to me. They were not harsh nor were they very stiff.
