I also have a FFR car as well. I do love it, and liked the frame, chassis and body design work out, no other car like it for any price.
At this time it has a 5.0 with 5 speed BW. Looking into supercharger, roller heads, and some work on the injection system (want around 500 hp).
The car is to be repainted in a silver (Titanium color), with dark blue stripes.
The car is a fine cornering car and has seen service in some SSA events, more planed.

Complaints: I don't like the fit of the doors. Will try and correct this with some sanding and glass work when the new paint man gets his hands on it. I also plan on replacing some other parts as well, such as the boot, and bonnet. (I think the newer ones are better). However, after a call to FF I was told I'm stuck with the doors as the new kit will not fit.
The new kit I think would be better as the frame will fit a big block (but you don't need it for speed and power these days). Also the doors and other parts fit better I'm told.
I don't care for the service from FF after market. I placed an order for windwings only to find it took 3 weeks! When I called the only thing they could say was that "well, perhaps there were other orders ahead of yours". Come on guys! I placed orders from other suppliers after that date and got them sooner! However having said that they are helpful when you call and ask stupid questions. So, like life FFR is not perfect. I would recommend them to anyone as I do not think even a Superperformace car is of the same caliber after having looked at both and could afford either. (I did not build mine, I bought it all running and ready).

I've had my FFR on the road since April of 2000. I am quickly approaching 8500 miles. Needless to say I built my Cobra to enjoy. I have a stock 5.0 fuel injection, T5 transmission, 273 gear, traction lock rear end. Color is.. Viking Blue Iridescent. It has been a great source of enjoyment.

Default Chevy eh

Het Cobradan,
Not only does my old buddy Nelson Pinney reside in Cape Coral but I too run a Chevy in my Cobra, why not something different.
Haven't I mentioned that before?

Thumbs up FFR1358

I bought my FFR1358 from Mike Schriber who built this car. Mike has a build site, see URL below. This is my second year driving this car. Being 61 years young, this is my retirement toy to play with.

Picked up FFR1753 in June, 1999. The first to order the Big Block option. Drove go-kart in June, 2000 after working through many issues with the BB build, but had fun with the creativity of it all. Did body work and had painting done over winter of 2000-2001 (British Racing Green, no stripe, black pipes and black powder roll bar -- almost no chrome and damn proud of it!!!) Put 4.10's in rear to (just for fun).

Car is a bear since it's been on the road in June, 2001. Lots of thumbs up, lots of fun. Won three tropies so far out of four shows (forgot to register at 4th show!).

This winter I plan on adding coil overs, the new 3-link rear suspension, and an oil cooler. Then I'll really be done.

Currently building FFR2684
Stock 302 & 5-speed
Powder coated (black) frame
Chrome roll bar
Autoweld adjustable upper control arms

This will be a car for driving and enjoying. I don't plan to race, but if something came up through a club event, or whatever, I would certainly jump in.

We received our FFR Cobra in Mid August. Pacific Performance Cars is an official builder for Factory Five. We're in Los Angeles, and have twenty years experience restoring cars, including 3 GT40 replicas. The Cobra should be done by Christmas. Just got the body on her. We went with a 345 HP aluminum head Ford Racing crate motor, and an Air Gap Manifold with a Holley 650 double pumper, per Ford's recommendation. Also, MSD ignitition and Ford Racing Aluminum V-belt pulleys. The car has the reliable Autometer Cobra gauges with the 160 MPH reverse speedo, Halibrand wheels, all new bushings and bearings, pretty much everything else new except the tranny and rear end. Let me know and this baby could be your Christmas present! Thank you all for a very informative and entertaining site! Pics of the car are available.
