Question FFR number

Does anyone know what generation (MK I or MK II) FFR 2497 is?
And is there any "history" to this Cobra?

Cool

2497 would still be a Mark I style chassis, the change over I believe started in the 3200+ range (3242 which I owned for a few weeks was a mid changeover car that had the curved trunk bar from FFR, but not the extra chassis stiffening braces in the transmission tunnel area) from Mark I to Mark II chassis. Still, nothing wrong with a Mark I chassis'd car, still nice and stiff. Several FFR owners with aftermarket refinement pieces such as the Russ Thompson curved trunk bar "retrofit" kit.......Give us some other details on the car, and we'll give you an honest opinion of it if we can...........As with anything else, it's all in the details..................

Sincerely,

Bill S.

The car is in Miami, Fl. Its for sale on eBay and I'm interested. It looks really clean and it's never been registered. Any thing I should know about "Florida" cars?

If purchased, it will be relocating to Las Vegas, NV.

It looks like it has the makings for a real nice start toward a 351, Tremec, four wheel disks and three link rear. The price seems right for this caliber Cobra.

Your opinions are greatly appreciated and will be relied upon greatly as this would be my first Factory Five.

Thank you,

Doc

If it's This one looks like a very nice build. Already has the Russ Thompson trunk hoop conversion, press upgraded weatherstripping, looks like a really nice car.....I would think a final price somewhere in the $26,500-$29,000 range.......

Default Thats it

Bill,

That is the one. From what I know of Factory Five cars it looks like it was put together nicely. I'm negotiating with the seller now and if luck is with me(and the timing is right), it looks like I will probably get it. On eBay, everything is timing . . .

The seller has sent me a full description of the build and is insisting that I get it inspected, that way he's sure I'm serious as a buyer.

Any recommendations on a shipper?

Thanl you for all your advise,

Doc
