Sorry for the company lost.
To the Smith families and FFR So Sorry for the lost of Dick S. A major blow to the whole cobra world. A great driver, and friend of everybody. I hope that after some time FFR will build the cobra for the salt flats. I talked to Dick on Tuesday and he was all gun ho about it. The other thing was, you guys have a ton of storys that Dick told, and I have been the pest about someone written them down for a book. This started a couple of years ago about doing this and it was never done. Could we do this now? condolances to all. Rick Lake

I would like that to Rick...
I saw this on a friend of mine's email signature and it just seems appropriate:

Rick,
I have been thinking hard about this. Dick had many good friends and even more stories. I want to get thru the funeral, support Heather and the family, and do wahtever they need.
After though, I feel a strong desire to do something substantial in Dick's memory. Right now I just don't know. I have 32 boxes of photos, stories, articles, etc... I think Dicks story needs to be told. I just think that work is for another day though.
Right now I can only see him smiling and laughing at all the fuss over him, and shedding his tears not at all for himself, but for his beautiful young Kyle who is with him now, but was robbed of a rich full life.

Deeply sorry for the loss.
Forgive me for being ignorant, but it sounds like Dick is related to the Smith boys at FFR...is that true?

No, he is not. Same last name, different family. Dick was very active with the FFR cars.

Blykins, Same name no relation. Dick got along well with the FFR crowd, but he got along with everyone. We never paid him a dime, he was our always simply our friend and an honored guest.
I have two addresses for flowers, cards and intentions.
Dick's brother-in-law is coordinating many of these arrangements on behalf of the family.
Mail to:
