Default Low Profile Oil Pan- Kudos to Nick Acton

I had Nick Acton (Mickmate on this forum) http://www.actoncustom.com/ build a custom oil pan for my car. The workmanship is awesome. You can trust Nick with any of your custom metalwork needs. I originally had only 2-1/2" of ground clearance to my pan and now I am over 3-1/2". The pan holds 7 qts, I ran 6 with the stock pan.

I found Nick through this forum, and we communicated by e-mail and one phone call. He built the pan without asking for a deposit (which I would have gave him). This shows his honesty. I got progress pics along the way.

See the before & after pics below.

Hey Anthony, that looks good on there. Over an inch more gorund clearance is a lot for us to have gained, that's reassuring from the drivers seat. Now go wash the oil out of your hair you look like a greaser LOL.
Hi Ho Silver awaaaaaaaaay!

I wouldn't mind getting the contact information.

I am having issues with my aluminum cobra tee pan being too large (deep), and being too low with lowering engine mounts. Also it won't clear most rack and pinion steering systems.

I think that the aluminum tee pan does cool the oil very well, though. I notice the oil temp really drop at above 50 mph. It'll go from 210-220 down to 160-180 in the space of a couple minutes.

Default Good guts

The neat thing about Anthony's pan was we managed to shave the height and give him alot more road clearance but retained all the baffling and tricks for the road race pan configuration.

I also have an aluminum FE oil pan flange here I've been just waiting for someone to custom detail to their specs. The plasma cutter doesn't care if it's cutting ally or steel to shape and I like welding either material. Let me know if I can help with your application.
