Default Turkey pan

I am building an ERA with a 428. I have a single plane Victor manifold with a turkey pan. The turkey pan hits the hood. It looks like there is about a 1" interference. The turkey pan height is about 4 3/4 high. Does anyone know of a shorter pan?

Thank you,
Clyde Johnson

The Victor is a pretty tall manifold. The originals, and most current cars, stay with a mid-riser like the Blue Thunder or a Performer RPM for a reason.

I'd guess you're either going to have to go without the pan - and I'd wonder what air cleaner will fit, in any case - or cut one down to a height that will fit.

Your carb air cleaner is probably going to hit once you cut down the turkey pan anyway. You need to see if there's enough clearance without the pan. Sad to say, you may be in for a manifold change.

You can check hood clearance with a blob of clay...

I can make or customise a Turkey Pan to your requirements. See how the air cleaner works by itself for clearance first.

The banging noise is a pretty accurate gauge as well.
