Correction, i dont have the 511 stroker kit, i have the 527 stroker kit. I hope that's a good thing. I keep getting surprises with the engine kit.

Well, it's good then that you have a Shelby block and not a Pond block. BTW, was your Shelby block ordered with the "big bore" option?

Rodknock- Yes, it is the big bore block.

Is there some reason that i do not want to use this rotating assembly? I was supposed to receive the 4.250 crank. I dont know what is going on with this company, but they are having major issues in the ordering department.

The 4.375 stroke will run just fine. But its gonna be pretty torquey in a Cobra - I hope you're ready for some tire spinning...

Well if I was building a nice engine like 527 stroker Fe I would use the Aviad or Armondo and we use both. They are pretty much the same oil pan. If you use main studs in the rear cap and do not cut them down they will hit any of the oil pan back there unless it is a rear sump like for a truck. We use bolt in the rear cap sometimes to fix this as well. There is no need to have to do special work to the oil pan. We aloso handle the Canton and Moroso but they are a front sump t-style pan and work but are not what came on the car originaly. The Aviad comes with a windage trey included as well as pick-up tube. I think that it controls the oil better and holds about 2 quarts more than the other pans as well which I like. It is your high dollar engine and I would not cut corner on an oil pan set up.

Good luck, Keith Craft
