Default Kirkham water pump pulley

I got my pulleys from the scratch and dent sale and started to install the water pump pulley....I have a Ford water pump and the pulley is binding with the boss's on the pump. Besides the Edelbrock pump has anyone had success with any other pump and this pulley working together? My only other option would be to grind away the boss's !

Can someone point me to a FAQ or other info on buying a Cobra or other replica car and importing it into California? How does the state determine the model year for smog purposes? How does this interact with SB100?

Thanks.

I don't have the Kirkham Pulleys but I did have to use some water pump spacers for proper belt alignment and also for clearance. You can get the spacers from a speed shop or Summit.
