I figured more than that, Keith got 717 hp 680ft lbs out of my 496" 427 with TWM EFI 5 years ago.

And your point is?

Seems like a p!ssing contest to compare your power level with someone else's when your engines could have completely different design parameters.

Both engines made excellent power, which is great.

The point was, I thought more hp would have been gotten out of a cammer. Aluminum block 427 stroker vs aluminum block 427 cammer.

When Keith and I discussed the cammer build, I told him I wanted 700 HP! Keith accomplished our goal. Darren

I didn't know what your goal was, that's great, Keith always delivers.

Me too! Awesome engine. Getting over 700 is over the top in any case, but it will be much more driveable vs. maxing it out on what HP it could theoretically make.

I am sure if you told KC you primarily wanted Dyno sheet bragging rights he could have gotten in the area of 900HP at 8,000, idle at 1,600 etc.

Just wanted to say a few things about this Cammer build. We made this engine as streetable as possible and ven lower compression than normal and the smallest camshaft we could get for it. Wanted the engine to idle very well and be a great street engine.
It would not be a big deal to go a little bigger, do more port work and larger camshaft and get this engine in the 850HP range on pump gas. But having an engine that has its main power band in the 5500 to 8000rpm range would not be real practical for a street driven car.
I would say that we actually detuned this engine to do what the customer wanted and what I think he will be the most satisfied with.

Thanks, Keith
