Hey,i wanna thank all u guys for your input! You've helped me make make my decision! I'm going with the shelby big-bore block,(527 ci) and i'm gonna have keith build it,(for a number of reasons),1:there's no replacement for displacement,2:the shelby name,3:kieth craft is one of the best names in fe engine- builders out there,(maybe thee best) and last,(but not least),the old sayingtoo much horse-power is almost enough)!

Thanks, but don't be too envious! Like the old beach boys song "409" said:"well i saved my pennies and i saved my dimes",well,i'm gonna be havin to save a few pennies & dimes for a while to do this one! Which leads me to a question:would anybody out there like to buy my coast high performance 351 windsor/427 stroker motor? It puts ou 585 hp,(supposedly).the ca.plate that was on the car when i got it read:585 hp

Hey barry,i just found out about you through the web & a call i got from one of the other members.i visited your site,(looks impressive).i own a superformance mk iii cobra replica, which currently has a 427 small-block,(351 windsor-stroker motor) in it. I'm looking to eventually,(as soon as i can afford it),swap out the small-block for an aluminum fe big-block.i have some questions for you regarding blocks,(i.e.-shelby vs.pond vs.genesis),heads,(edelbrock vs.blue thunder) and other stuff: I.e.-cranks,cams,rods,pistons,intakes,carbs,etc.i got your input about the block,(shelby vs.pond).i will be giving you a call to talk to you about that, the other parts and the build.thanks.talk to you soon-bobby!

Bobby- Just a helpful hint...

You might want to contact Barry through his website. He's not a "official" vendor here. He probably won't respond to your post anyway, out of courtesy to the other board vendors.

IMO... he's probably one of the BEST FE builders around, as I'd mentioned to you in post #3.

Whatever you do, dont use the KY based company that has a name that sounds like what you would call your grandfather, for ANYTHING!!!

Ive had a great experience with both Keith and Brent. Cant complain at all.

He's "Barry_R" the 15th poster in this thread and a wealth of knowledge on FEs.
