428 FE Oil Filter
I have an empty oil filter box - FRAM Double Guard Oil Filter DG8A for my 428 FE engine - I need another filter or two but cannot find one on line - is there an alternative filter?

There's a zillion. I use a Moroso filter -- they're as good as any of the filters out there. Summit will ship it to you today. Moroso 22470 - Moroso Race Oil Filters - Overview - SummitRacing.com

Moroso, Motorcraft, Wix....all are good ones.
I wouldn't worry about ordering online.....Autozone, NAPA, Advance, O'Reillys, etc. can be your friend here.

x2. I run the Wix Racing or the Motorcraft. If you are a smart shopper you can buy them by the case from time to time on eBay and save $.

Motorcraft FL-1A is available almost anywhere, even Walmart.
That or the Wix 51515 ( if I recall the part number correctly) are the best filters to use in my book.

The Moroso filter gave me an additional 75 horsepower at the rear wheels.

Probably the reports year ago on exploding FRAM oil filters and generally cheap construction. I don't know how valid the reports were but they sure made a lot of us go to something else.

I like the Motorcraft filters. I don't know what is in them, but they weigh a lot more than other filters. I like the FL-1HP. Mustang Oil Filter at LRS - Same Day Shipping! It even has a picture of a GT-40 on it.

Cause it's recycled, and it's the metal particles from the guy that used it before you.

WOW.....seems to be crap on Patrick day....
anyway the filter choice is a new peeve i am wondering for the upcoming driving season, in my engines i tend to run a higher oil pressure and the bypass valves in most filters now has me concerned.........
there are some filters without this pressure bypass in them......somehow i think the fram problem is related to this very subject........
so to add a new tickle to the thread......who makes a filter without a bypass?
Patrick I'm sure has some input on this.....hehehe
