Will do. Deep down though both Chas and RodKnock love me; they just won't admit it.

400 miles in one day in a Cobra is a pretty good workout, but not really difficult if you know what to expect. Plenty of water and suntan lotion is critical.
I drive from the Philadephia burbs to upstate NY a couple times a year and always enjoy the drive unless it is raining or on one occasion a little snow. Hey, The only guy who is good at Cobra driving in the snow is Jim Kellogg, but he is a nut! LOL Jim
Luckily my exhaust pipes go out the back. Not sure if I could deal with sidepipes for 4-500 miles?
As far as the left foot thing? Switch feet while driving and move your feet around. Sometimes I pull my left back toward the seat so my foot is flat on the floor of the car for a while.
Race everyone who is game and that will get the blood pumping too
Almost 14mpg is excellent.
I recently noticed when I use Tier 1 gasoline I get a 2-3 better mpg on the highway.

Default 13.8 is great !!

When I came back from Sears Point this week end or went to Monterey yesterday I got what I always get ... 8 mpg . It is the same when I had the 66 Holman Moody 427 MR SO or the replacement over square genesis block 490 side oiler hooked up to the Tremac 5 spd with the 0.68 over drive 5th and 3.54 rear gears...

... and, I'm going to say that she burned just about a quarter of a quart of oil. So, that's roughly 1600 miles or so per quart. That was another thing I was kind of watching since she had a fresh change of Brad Penn 15w-40 in her.

I got 16.8 on the last tank on my Ford GT. It was mostly driving around town and to a couple of car shows - about 250 miles total. That's better than my truck got on the highway to Vegas and back over 1600 miles.

On my Cobra with the Roush 427IR (fuel injected) once I go it running well I got about 18-19.

I have a 454 SO (not a police interceptor motor like someone else) with 3.54 rear and a .68 overdrive. 2 weekends ago I did almost 400 miles going down Skyline drive and got 15.6 mpg (gets 9+-10 around town) with NO hard accelerations. My foot was ok but my ass was SORE!!!
We drank 1.5 gallons of water, used earplugs, and had a blast.
Patrick, the CACC Rehobeth Beach cruise is a blast. Do it!!!

With almost the same gearing, I get better mileage at 100 MPH than I do at 70 MPH. About 17.5 vs 12 in my little 428.

I have not taken it on a long highway trip yet to see, but combined driving around town and back roads with negligible 5th gear use I am getting a solid 20MPG (much better than my daily driver 03 Sport Trac). Coyote Aluminator, TKO600 and 3.91's.

I can save on fuel costs by driving my Cobra? How cool is that?
