Default Intake manifold breather

It looks like my nice pedestal mount breather on the back of my 2x4 intake is going to have to go. The ERA heater nipple is too close to it and I don't think I can get a hose on it. I noticed Survival Motorsports has a basket and element that fits down in the manifold opening with a short breather unit that bolts on top. Looks like it should clear and with the basket should do a pretty good job of minimizing oil mist. Has anyone used it?

Yes, didn't work for me. I still got way to much oil in my intake. I wound up using an air/oil separator plumbed between the PVC valve and the under carb vac source. I should have a post here in the FE section with photos on what I did. I'm running a single 4 so I just mounted the separator on the rear of the intake, you'd probably have to mount one on the firewall something like the original's puke tank.

Trying to avoid anything that sticks out as too non-authentic for a street roadster like a puke tank. I'm also a little wary of trying to convert to a PVC system since my motor was dyned and dialed in without one. Not sure how much effect on A/F plugging one into the carb will result in - maybe very little. I have a tube and breather cap on the front of the intake so it gets some ventilation there. I wonder if the old road draft tubes are being reproduced?

I had a similar problem with mine, so I cut the vertical tube at the base, and rotated the vertical tube enough to clear the heater nipples, and then had it rewelded. Hardly noticable.
