Default # of Dodge Tstat for FE
As I have searched the forum, Rick Lake states that the Tstat for a BB Dodge 383-440 has a 1/4 inch larger flow opening than the one for a FE. Rick stated he uses a Stant and that 2 mm has to be ground from the diameter of it to fit the manifold. What is a number for this Dodge Tstat and gasket? AutoZone? PepBoys? AdvancedAuto? I need to remove my restrictor plate. Doesn't heat up in cool temps now. Also forum consensus seems to agree on 180 degrees as best for FE. Appreciate the help.

Mr. Gasket High Performance Thermostats 4367 - SummitRacing.com

It's a Mr. Gasket high flow t'stat for Mopar. You don't have to trim this one for a regular FE housing.
