Is that an extra air inlet in the carb cover? I dont think I've seen anything on the market like that, did you machine that? Nice!

Yep, custom install....

It's K&N's filter for a 2010 Malibu V6, good to about 350 CFM without loss of air flow. I had my machine show mill the lid to accept it. The oval filter plus this is good to about 1000cfm before there's any significant pressure drop.

Nice innovation undy. Is that also a K&N oval filter? Can you tell me the K&N part number of the oval filter?
Thanks
Cheers

It has crossed my mind...
The boss will assist with the final decisions. He knows best.

UNDY - Innovative set up, has both form and function. I like it!
I also particularly like the braided lines.

DanEC - Traditional pent roof with a couple S&Hs, very classy, and a fav of mine.
What have you done for PCV plumbing?
Are you planing to vent from manifold to carbs?
I was under the impression you had to plumb from valve cover also... but clearly I'm mistaken. I like the "clean" look.

GT500Mike - Nice! I guess you'll be posting more pics in this thread then... in a "few weeks" perhaps
Congrats, I'd love to see it all done up. What are you thinking for air filter?

Anyone others keep 'em coming, I have many questions.

Thanks gents.

My motor was built by Keith Craft and he isn't a big fan of PVC systems. It has a breather at the rear of the intake and the breather/oil fill cap at the front. The traditional S-shaped breather for the rear interfered with the heater hoses on mine so Barry R fabed up a breather (like off of a valve cover) and aluminum mount and it's installed there, down low. It just barely clears the bottom of the rear carb so it's kind of invisible. Come to think of it, it wasn't installed yet on the photos I posted.

If you look closely you can catch a glimpse of the breather under the rear carb in this clip.

It's a S&B 2.25" tall filter, about 1/2" taller than K&N's.

I have two different set-ups but I've decided to use Stelling & Hellings air cleaners/filters. As far as the schedule, I need a few parts and the motor needs a little detailing so I hope to have the engine installed by the end of the month.
