Well, if you do that then there is no need for you to stand on the scale while weighing. I figure you already knew that... but just wanted to make sure, in light of your recent posts.

Well that slipped my mind. If I don't do it tomorrow, I'll certainly do it on Saturday.

Default Bad Pics...

Well these are pretty half-ass shots, but believe it or not, they were the best of the lot! I was at a local club gathering today to put DCDoug's rear back together, so I included two shots of that because, frankly, they're much more interesting than my wheels. The colors on the pics are different than what they look like in real life, but you asked for them....

Default I missed this one...

You might have to just take my word that the paint makes a world of difference. I think DCDoug might even be considering it now, but he has puhhhhleeennntttyyy on his plate at the moment.

Yes the car looks passable now pending further visual improvements. Next I've gotta teach you how to take pictures.

Tell DC to coat those tank braces with Loctite Rust Converter then paint them black. Or better-remove them, blast them and powder them.

Well, everyone was in agreement that had it been an ERA rear, dropping the frame would have been a half hour job. Not so with a CSX car. Hopefully Doug will update us on the progress that was made later in the day.

Most CSX owners don't care because they:
A. Don't do those things themselves.
B. Have those letters 'CSX'.
Tell him about the rust fix.

The fella that has the garage we were using is exceptionally generous with his time, skills, and facilities. I doubt that job could be done without his contributions. And the local club has some pretty skilled guys that really enjoy working on other guys' cars. I'll ping Doug on the rust issue though.

That is really cool-a member / friend who shares his above-average facility with others.
For free and comradeship. He gets recip help when needed too.
Very nice.

Don't worry, I plan to remove the gas tank straps and get them re-powder coated. Probably when it gets cold in the Fall. I agree that it looks like crap.

As for the diff, it's 75% of the way back in. Getting the bolts to line up with the accessibility of the relevant parts is a real b!tch. I can't believe we didn't actually get it done today.

But the camaraderie was good and, yes, our local club member is VERY generous with his time, space and equipment.

I am trying not to overstay my welcome....
