DSC Motorsport has a good selection for FE's. I'm running a solid roller with high lift with no problem using the Pentroof style.

Thanks Beast, I've messaged Dennis numerous times and no response, when someone finally answered the phone they were super rude. I so don't need that!

Did you check the Blue Thunder website? I bought their Cobra 427 natural finned ones and they look great.

No mods needed, they fit pretty much everything.

FWIW, back in 2005 I looked at every VC for an FE I could find and the Blue Thunders were my favorite on looks alone... so that's what I got. But, they're nice and sturdy, have a reasonably flat bottom plane to help sealing (helpful, if you remove them to set the valves), they fit well over the components, and the baffles help prevent oil getting sucked up the PCV. All of that is nice, but you should really just pick what appeals to you -- if they don't fit, return them.

Would the VC spaces from CoBranda do the trick?
390-427-428 Valve Covers

I haven't tried them and I'm not sure how they'd look, but worth a mention.

Has anyone tried them?

They clear most stuff - but not all. What rocker system are you using?

Ansen seems to make some pretty nice ones, including the "tall" version. They have been making VC's for a long time.

Ya think they'd make some without the name "Shelby" on it if you asked them nicely?

They do. Just click on the "Ford" section and page through. They have quite a selection for SBF and BBF. I met the reps at their booth at the last Grand National Hot Rod Show and the stuff looked to be good quality and well made.

These are particularly nice. FE Tall -- I couldn't find a price, and I have absolutely no memory whatsoever for what I paid for my Blue Thunders.

You just need to give them a call for pricing and availability. These guys are all about VC's and work with all the big boys for 40 years or so. They told me that they also do custom work for engine builders. Might be a good source for Blykins' new VC's and logo!
