Redd Snake,

Looks like we're in the same ball park. Good luck with the engine. BTW- does it have a home yet?

Thumbs up Stroker 390

The motor Street Rodder built was one of 3. They were all 390's and the one you're referring to, the one that was stolen, was stroked to 431 c.i., (4.125 stroke, 3.080 bore) with a Crane Hyd. Roller cam, 220/226 , 9.75:1 compression and Edelbrock Aluminum heads (reworked). It produced 525 lb-ft between 3,800 and 4,200, and between 2,500 and 5,000 rpm averaged 500 lb-ft. Peak H.P. was 457. "Not bad for a pump gas eater with manners mild enough to run an automatic trans. without idle problems."

Jim

Does anyone have these articles scanned yet? I would really like to get my hands on them.

I was just going through some Dyno runs that I had done on an engine that I just built and my engine made the most power at an A/F ratio between 13.7 to 15.0 to 1.
