Right in there somewhere....I don't think I'm good enough to nail it down to within 100 rpm.
If you want me to guess, I'll say 6900.

It was a good day. Was up at about 3:30-4, couldn't sleep....my dad came down and met me at 8, and we drove for an hour to my dyno guy.
Got the engine lit off and first pull was 571 hp @ 5500. We usually do a short pull to make sure the carbs are doing what carbs should do, and in the A/F range they should be doing it in.
Second pull was to 7000, and it was done at 6500 with 615 hp....
Obviously it was the direction I wanted to go in, but it wasn't going as fast as I wanted.
Everyone noticed that the engine was sounding lazy and not very crisp at all, so I jerked the valve covers off, ran the valves, put them back on, and rechecked the timing. Everything was fine, so we decided to delve into the carbs...
My carb guy works out of my dyno guy's shop and I had brought him another 2x4 set of Quick Fuels to go through. So we pull off David's set and plop on the extra set.
663 hp @ 6700. Now we're getting somewhere. Engine sounded much crisper, pulled strong all the way to about 7200.
Scott (carb guy) said that if I brought him back a cheeseburger, he would stay through lunch and go through David's carburetors. Deal.
We got back from lunch, I hand off the burger, he hands off the carbs. Plop them on, first pull was 675 @ 6700...
That was at 38 degrees total timing. Pulled 2 degrees out and we got the exact same horsepower.
A little more tinkering, ended up at 682 at almost 6800 rpm. Torque was 609 lb-ft.
All of this was at about 170 degree water temp, tried cooling down to 120 and it didn't make a bit of difference...hahaha
Oil pressure was really good, between 45-50 at around 1500 rpm, and crossing over 80 at full song. This was with Valvoline VR1, 10W-30. With the coated bearings, main bearing clearances were around .0016-.0018, and it was about 50 degrees outside today, so I wanted the low viscosity.
No leaks....clean filter.....sweet little engine. Scott ended up pulling about 60 hp out of the carburetors that David was running previously. Wow.
Getting ready to eat dinner with the fam, I'll post videos later on this evening.

David, may it serve you well with many years of trouble free, alarm triggering, window shattering, corvette scaring, Chevy abusing, Pontiac smashing miles.
Ps. I was only 7 horses and a handful of tq off in my estimate.

Well, if he wants a 700 hp dyno sheet, he can hop to another dyno and give her a pull. We seem to be about 5% low compared to the local superflow and dts dynos. We also don't have a good way of feeding both carbs with supplied air. On a single carb engine we can pull the hood directly down and fasten it so the carb gets all it wants. On a dual carb situation, we have to just lay the hood down in front...not as effective in my mind.
As far as oil pressure, 75-80 is usually what I see with the blueprinted hv pumps.
After this many pulls, the engine should be sealed up. It was very repeatable down to 1-2 hp at the end. With modern rings and honing techniques they shouldn't require 500 miles of driving to seal.

This one wasn't cheap by any means. The crank alone was $1500, rods were almost that much, pistons with rings were about that much. Coated bearings were $170 a set for the mains and about that much again for the rods. Valve springs alone were up over $400, rockers were $1200. Just adds up REAL fast.
David was lucky in that he already had the heads (just needed them ported), already had the intake, already had the carbs (about $1200 there again), balancer, water pump, carb linkages, etc, etc.
I'd say to duplicate this engine part for part, you'd be approaching the $25k mark. It's very labor intensive, and as you've seen, the parts an't cheap. That's a rough ballpark guess at this point, as I'm doing math in my head, and I shouldn't be doing that at my age. If you're really interested in knowing, I can throw a quote together.
