Somewhere along the line most all of them got gallies for hydraulic lifters, however, on the solid lifter police engines there were 2 little drive in plugs in the galley from the center oil gally out to the lifter galley-you can remove the screw in plug and drill out the drive in plug if you either want hydraulics-------orrrrrrrrrr, you can do the same and run a lifter type like was in the other type ford engine that would oil the top end thru the pushrod----this also will let you get more oil to the cam lobe area as you can get lifters with an edm hole in the base--------
