Young1, Is your pressure plate a diaphragm or a 3 finger? That's one for McLeod.

Pressure plate is diaphragm . Single disc . McLeod . I have 400 Rwhp tops. No need for super heavy duty in light weight car.

Hey Morris,
I need to talk to you about this very subject. I will give you a call this afternoon. I just pulled my Toploader out of my Cobra and have a TKO 600 to replace it.
Regarding the McLeod T/O Brg I have used one for 15 years with no problems. My clutch has the three fingers but I went with the one that replaces the Bearing cover and bolts directly to the transmission. Never a problem with the performance of the bearing. I had a little trouble bleeding the bearing but that turned out to be me leaving one of the fittings loose. Great product for those tight spaces behind an FE 427 and Lakewood Bell.

You wouldn't be able to use a bearing like in post 6 with a diaphragm clutch.
Think about what contact pattern the bearing face will have with the fingers throughout the bearing travel.

Get the Tilton cylinder. The McLeod o ring swivel seals failed twice on my GT40. Tilton has a much better design.

I've had this exact same anecdotal feedback, from a couple different sources, shared with me also... Not sure if I'd call it a "trend", but it's got me thinking twice...
