Lower Radiator Hose #

For my lower radiator hose I used the radiator hose from a 1968 Mustang CJ (part number GATES 21053). It measures 2 1/4" water pump and 2" radiator. I cut it and spliced it on a 2" piece of tailpipe bent to go under my front frame support . Hope someone can use this part number before they go and buy two hoses to make one.

The cost was about $11.00 at Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts.

I run the edelbrock pump as well but my rad stub is 1 3/4

Likely end up being a combo of rubber and steel

I guess as many kits as there out there and the various combinations of radiators available there is no absolute hose number.

I also use a steel tube, but before I found out the number that would correspond to my water pump to radiator combination I had to talk the guys at Autozone to let me go through their inventory with a set of dial calipers. Ended up buying two hoses at $18.00 each in order to get one. I thought these numbers might help someone else save a couple of bucks.

What radiator are you using that has a 2" outlet?

I had Arts Radiator Shop in New Jersery make me a special cross flow radiator for my Cobra. I had been running a brass 4 core radiator that was not as effective as my new one that I had built. I highly recommend "Arts Radiator" but I just checked the internet and I am not sure he is still in business.
