2 Piddly 427 Questions
a) Does anyone know where to buy a new tall water outlet for use with a sidewinder intake. I'm told this one is also used with a tri-power and dual quad. I bought a used on on ebay but it's kinda scruddy.
b) On a Stelling & Hellings air cleaner where is the little blue sticker supposed to go?
And yes, I'm embarassed to waste webspace with such dumb questions
Thanks, Chuck

Chuck,
There are no dumb questions.
I assume you want the FE expansion tank.
Try Enzo at Finishline or Cobra Restorers. They each sell an unassembled unit which you can have brazed together in the configuration you need at a local radiator shop.
As far as the blue sticker, I'm too dumb to answer that one. I'm sure someone on here knows.
Later,

Not sure what thats suppost to be for? I have a sidewinder that I used to run and it has a bung for the temp sender? Is this so you can run a heater with the intake?
Matt

That's a good detailer's question!
(Alex...I'll take Air Cleaners for $500...)
I looked quickly thru my files:
CSX3166 - has it towards the rear
CSX3229 - has it towards the front
CSX3342 - has it towards the front
...who's correct?

Ahhh, you're looking for the heater hose outlet.
That looks identical to the one on my intake, but unfortunately I can't remember if it came with it or if I bought it elsewhere. It is a nice gold irridite (sp?) color.
My intake is a Blue Thunder medium-riser reproduction. Check their site for contact info to see if it is available separately.

Good luck,

So it goes on the top? I noticed the red car on ebay for like a gazillion $$$ has it in front. Front or rear is that roughly where you are seeing them?
Thanks, Chuck

Can't tell you if it's inlet or outlet but one way or the other it's for the heater. Goes in the hole right behind the thermostat I believe.

Hey guys just a thought. From the picture posted above it looks like it might be a PCV vent tube coming out of the breather plate at the back of the intake. Like I said, I may be seeing things but it sure looks like it's going from the intake into the rear of the carb. Just an observation.
