Default Photos of my remote oil adapter

Some time ago I promised to post photos of my remote oil adapter compared to the cheapo cast units that are available. I originally purchased a cast unit, but upon inspection I decided I could do a better job. The main things that I did not like with the cast unit was the high porosity of the casting, and the fact that the ports did not come close to aligning with the holes in the block thus forcing the oil to make several sharp bends, etc.

Here is a photo of my block with the oil ports enlarged and aligned for my new adapter:

Not sure what is going on with the last 4 images. They look fine on my machine with 3 different viewers. After I upload them the look like crap with Netscape, IE, and Opera. I will send Brent an e-mail to check them out.

Stay tuned.

Edit:

Links above help, but it is nice to see the images together which is possible in the gallery.

The Custom adapter allows the main oil paths to flow directly in and out of the engine. The two 1/8 NPT gauge ports are located on return path (entering engine) and are for dash Smiths gauge and data logging of oil pressure.

Hi Ken. I wish I had the time to make it, but I am trying to get the car on the road this summer. You are welcome to the CAD drawing (assuming I can find it). I can also ask my machine shop buddy if he is interested, and how much, etc.
