hi guys i was curious as to the worth of a running 410 fe motor the guys says its a police interceptor motor? it may or may not be i have yet to verify serials but what i dont know is what is it worth in running condition , any thoughts? thnx

A 410 is basically a 390 block with a 428 crank. All the other components are nothing special.
I pretty sure the were only available in Mercurys.
With brand new 428 cranks avaliabe from Scat, the price of a running 410 motor hase come down a bit. It really depends on the condition. One person's fair price could be too high or too low to someones else. For me personally, for a good rebuildable 410 core, I would pay $500.

I'd up the bidding to $1,000 +, maybe up to $1,500 in running condition, ready to go state, all set to bolt in. The 410 is an older version of the FE, I think, so you may want to consider motor mount issues - not sure where/what you're planning on using it in.

WAS considering it for a back up i have a new 428 in my unique right now i guess ill pass on it thanx guys........
