OEM 4V Fuel log that bolts FE manifold
I am changing over to the oem 4V fuel log as described above. The connection to the holley double pumper is via rubber fuel hose from the log to the carb. My question is: where can I find the barbed nipples that screw into the holley double pumper?

Steve, I ordered mine from Summit...PN HLY-26-24...prob'ly all the speed shops have them though.
But how you gonna get dbl pumpers on that OEM manifold? I thought you had to use vac secondary carbs...?

A standard 5/16" 18 barbed end fitting (brass) is the simplest and in my opinion, best way to go. Barb should be for 3/8" ID hose, and I would recommend that although this thread is NOT a NPT tapered thread, that teflon tape be used.
Availability? Any good hardware store, at about 2 bucks apiece.

Thank you very much Mr. Bond...I will order them through the local speed shop. I dont know if oem manifolds use only vac sec carbs. I have a performer rpm w/ a 750 mech. secondary DP. Thanks again.

The 1 piece fittings for the double pumper bowls are available that screw directly into the bowls and have the male 3/8" hose nipple already machined on them, much "cleaner" appearance. Eliminates potential point of leakage.

Mr 0077: I dont think that Holley pn 26-24 will work. The fuel bowls on a double pumper are threaded 5/8-18 inverted flare. Holley pn 34-21 seems to be the correct fitting.

Oops, bad advice! I'm using the vac secondary carbs, definitely different from your DPs...sorry, glad you caught it!

I'm planning to use the same setup.
But I was thinking about using fuel filters as the barb, NAPA 3019 will screw right into the float bowl (you need two obviously).
Anybody think that is a good/bad idea?

Remove the gold colored steel inverse flare fitting from the fuel bowl inlet (center hung float bowls only), replace it with the blue anodized aluminum fitting that has a -6 male flare fitting coming out of it. Use 3/8" stainless hardline, tube nuts and a flaring tool. Go from the log to the fuel bowls with stainless hardline only, it looks a whole lot better than rubber line or braided stainless. Besides, some racing bodies don't allow rubber fuel line on top of the engine.

I picked up a napa 3019 filter an hour ago and tried it. It screws directly into the fuel bowl and has the 5/16" hose nipple end which is the same as the fuel log nipple end. I see no reason why this wont work and I like the idea of having 2 filters instead of one...flow should be better. The filter is also made by puralator(F20235), AC(GF473),Fram(G3427),Motorcraft(FG19B) and wix(33019). Thanks for the tip and good idea.
