Default Worth porting Edelbrock heads?

Is it worth porting Edelbrock heads and giving them a 3 angle valve job? Has anyone dyno'ed before and after such mods? If so please share how much hp/tq benefit one would expect

Thanks

joea,
Edelbrock heads flow pretty good right out of the box, and they come with a three angle valve job. You may want to do some gasket matching, but that's about all you need.

Default re: porting

Hi Joe,
Yes. As I recall, aren't you going with an FE in your future ERA?. I'd say it's worth porting and port matching to your intake (if done correctly). My E-Brock heads are signifigantly different over stock in form and function. Tom over at FE Specialties in Sacramento can give you some ideas on what #s to expect on various FE engine combinations and setups. I believe it's 916-339-0427, if you want to give Tom a call.
