I don't want to dampen your spirits but I don't think many of us go assembly manuals. But, I could call my mfg's tech line for help. Between all of us here we can help with pictures or answers. Where do you want to start and how soon do you want to be finished?

If you want to drive your Cobra this summer I would suggest that you start with preparing the body and all fiber glass parts for the painter. Otherwise we can help you get started on your frame and drive train build.

thanks clois for the quick responce.I was looking for a manual
as many years ago I was going to purchase a kit from west
coast cobra anmd they sent me a manual to give me some idea
of the work involved.I didn't get the kit for whatever reason
but did go on to restore some old musle and build a few street rods.At present I'm gathering info and bits one of my concerns was body mounts both items and location. My frame has a Mustang II front and the car came with both an 88 mustang rear
and a lincoln versi. The motor that was with the kit is a 5.0 out of the 88 stang.I'm sure my questions will get numerous as I get into this.

Well, is the frame assembled?

Does the Lincoln rear end have Disc brakes?

I just engineered a set for a ford big bearing rear, not versailles.

They are okay brakes, but parts are scarry.

What do you want to do first?

sounds like I'm going to use the mustang rear. My first job will be to get the chassis to a rolling state. I have enough parts for the front end ,as I havn't laid out all the parts I'm not sure if there is enough to assemble the rear.I'll check this weekend and start a list.

Suggestion:

If they are both 8.8 rear ends and you are going with a 5.0 litre and you will probably go with a T-5 or TKO 5 spd trans choose whichever rearend is the narrowest and has the lowest gears (I started out with a T-5 and 3.27:1 gears and absolutely hated my low end until I up graded my rear gears to 3.73:1). Perfect for a small block and T-5 or Tremic.

Let us know where you want to start and we can coach you through as fast as you want to go.

You may want to get a copy of the ERA manual. It's got lots of good info regardless of what kind of kit you have. In most cases it's more helpful than the Everett-Morrison manual that came with my kit!

You can get it on CD for $30 and it includes all of the info for the 427, 289, and GT-40. Just hit the print button if you want a copy that you can take out in the garage and get grease on .

Good luck!
-Jon
