Advantages of a supercharged big block: Power, fame, & glory

Disadvantages: You'll shoot your eye out with that thing!

I think it looks outstanding. Very nice.

Anyone comment on how much additional power?

What's the most amount of compression you can safely run with a supercharger?

MAXVELO,

Beautiful job! If I run out of HP I'll look you up

Chaplin,

That's a question with many answers. It depends on the rest of the engine's specs and also how you are going to use it.

Tom

Default HP?

According to Weld Motorsports (Carl Robinson) the crate motor puts out 600+ on it own and 820 with the fuel injection and SC@ 8lbs. boost.

Chaplin,

Most start at around 8.5 and run around 6 to 8 pounds of boost. Most any engine will live under those conditions. When you start pushing over 8 you need to start getting pistons, rods, steel crank and on and on and on........
