Brent,
Using all of Precision Oil Pumps stuff, Edelbrock heads and using ball and ball push rods. Very happy with the outcome. 427 SO engine. I had Doug at Precision get everything I needed, also using his blueprinted oil pump and billet shaft. Very pleased!!

Michael, I'm using the right stands, as on my last motor, I used stock stands and had the same problem.

Well, I got her up and running again last night; so far so good. I have to say that I noticed immediately a difference in the overall geometry compared to the Harland Sharp rockers, as it appeared to my untrained eye that the because of a better angle, it would logically be more efficient and have less strain on the pushrods. Don't ask me to explain it in detail, as I don't know that I could, and it's just an observation.

All in all, I have to say that I am very please with Precision Oil Pumps quality and Doug's service. I am using their billet oil shaft, blueprinted pump, end stands, stands, rockers, and app ball/ball push rods.

I'm glad to hear your happy with the new set-up! Just mark it down like all of FE Folks do as money well spent on entertainment.

Brent Mills I am gald your motor is fixed. I see you let the cat out of the bag. Poor gemonitry on the rocker set up. Sound like you didnot need to spend that added $600 dollars? They have articles on setting up the Valve train. You should do this still to make sure no binding of the springs, valve hitting pistons, the correct wear pattern on the center of the valves. Have someone check it out before you have the same problem again. Are the new rockers pivot point higher than the old ones? I know you went from cup to ball pushrods to ball to ball , this will give you more angle for the rocker, and help keep the pushrod in place. Hope it's worked out. I guess we will see. Rick Lake

Could be you had the wrong rockers somehow. Glad it worked out.
