Default 428 Stroker kit...is this OK?

I recieved a reply from this company...price seems a bit low. Anybody ever dealt with them? Is this reasonable?

Subject: Stroker

I am looking for a stroker kit for a standard bore 428. It appears that the
block came from 428 stock, but was originally bored as a 390. The block has
been bored and honed to 4.13 (standard bore.) Wall thicknesses look very
good and we want to leave it that way. Thus I need standard 428 pistons
(4.13) with a stoker kit. Can you help/advise here?

Mike

Speedomotive is a longtime engine parts supplier (they were around before Cobras), I've dealt with them at various times over the years and have always been satisfied.

Default FE Stroker kit

Remember you get what you pay for. We are doing some stroker kits using the Scat cast steel crank with 4.125 or 4.250 stroke, Scat H-beam 4340 rods, JE/Venolia pistons with the right compressiom for your needs, Moly rings, Federal Mogul or clevit bearings. These kits run 1995.00 and will yeild you between 440 to 456 cubic inches. Much better than the speedomotive stuff. I don,t even know what they would have for a crankshaft, and the pistons sounded like cast pistons with reworked stock rods. Let me know if we can help. Thanks, Keith Craft

Default kits

Keith,

Thanks. I have already decided to stay away. Most of the "good" kits I have found start at 2k and go up. I assume there is a reason for that and will stay with that price range.

I know they're great with Chevy engines, they just built an engine for my brother-in-law's '71 Chevelle. He never had a problem and it dyno'ed at what they promised.
