Unhappy Power steering for 1969 Torino Cobra

Hello everyone:

I am a new member, and need some help finding some parts for my 1969 Torino Cobra.
I have a '69 Torino Cobra with a 428 CJ, and 4 speed. The car originally came with P/S, but it has since been removed

First, I would like to get some pictures showing how the P/S pump is installed to the engine. Also, how many brackets are needed. All the pictures that I have seen only show a top view of the engine.

Second, does anybody know a good source for old ford parts, basically the the parts I described above.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Bob

Question Curious

Bob,
It is so seldom I hear of anyone that has a '69 Torino Cobra I have to ask.
I bought a new '69 Indian Fire Red Torino Cobra in Sept. of 1968.
It came with P/S which I had the dealer remove and replace with a manual steering box within a few months of having it.I was doing a lot of drag racing with it,on and off the strip.
Mine also had a four speed.Bench seat as well.

Wondering if you knew the history of yours ????

Default 1969 Torino Cobra

Hello Fred:

Thanks for the reply.

I just had the Torino delivered last week. After a 5 week ordeal with a terrible shipping company from N.Y. If anybody would like details, I would be more than happy to share.
Anyways, I bought the car in Marathon FL. which half way between Key Largo and Key West.
The car is an 'R' code ram air 428CJ Formal Roof. It has bucket seats, in dash tach (added later), 3:91, 'N' Case rear end. If you would like to see pictures, you can go to
www.e-motorclassics.com. Go to "Classifieds" and scroll down the left hand side of the page, you'll find a listing for a 1969 Torino Cobra. Thats the car I bought.

I have found all the parts to convert the front brakes to power disc, from a 1968 torino. Now I am working on the P/S. Any pictures and or parts help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again, Bob

Default For your

power steering parts contact Roger Rode, Galion, Ohio at 419-468-5182. Roger can supply any parts you may need. If you have a fax I can fax you the installation drawing from the Ford parts manual.

Rick

Default 1969 Torino Cobra

Hello Rick:

Thanks for the reply. It's great to get some help from evryone out there.
I will give the number a call that you suggested. Hopefully, he'll have what I'm looking for.
As for my FAX number. If you could fax the parts list page that would be great. I have the 1969 Ford shop manual, but it does not have the diagram showing the pump, pulley and or brackets.
I would like to salvage parts from an FE engined truck or large ford, but need some pic's and part numbers.

My fax, at my office is: 734-995-3939. Just put to attention Bob K.

Thanks for your help.

Bob
