Default marine 427's for sale

I own a Chris Craft that is in the process of being repowered to Cat Diesels. The twin 427's in the boat have been run in the great lakes only. I would have preferred to sell them to another Chris owner as we also try to keep things original, but the engines gave me some problems on our last extensive cruise. Being this is the internet age all of our problems were discussed at length. All problems were resolved by finding a fuel line that was sucking air and rebuilding the distributors. However these engines were converted to Hydraulic lifters by a speed shop called Snooks in Illinois. Because of the chatter about our problems I am reluctant to sell them as running power units to people I consider my boating buddies. My thought is to sell them stripped of marine components which I don't think you would find value with anyway. I can sell them as running units if that is the general way your group buys them. What would you recommend?? Appreciate any info you might offer. They don't smoke or make any noises that you would not expect to hear.
Mark
