To take a customers bar castings and run our CNC program with the right valve job for application, back-cut the valves tp proper angles, sand roll the chambers and runners then cc them and mill to desired size would run 2200.00. I have been using 2.25/1.75 Fearra 11/32 valves and changing the guides. I have done several sets with the 2.19/1.75 3/8 stem valves as well. I find the larger stem valves to work fine on the lower lift type engines that are running about .600 lift, when we are doing a all mout race engine we use the other 11/32 valves for durability and less weight. Hope this helps a little. The 2200.00 is for labor only with no parts. Thanks Keith

I will try to figure out how to post some Dyno sheets or just copy the information to the computer and post. I have several other engines we are fixing to dyno test. A couple are Genesis block engines that are 489 and a 496 solid roller engine with about 11 to 1 compression single plain intake. Thanks

Default Request for Information...

Hi Keith,
Now that you are reporting first hand on the Genesis blocks, can you please explain something... I would appreciate it.

Other than age and availability..., what are the strong points and weak points to the recent iron Genesis block as compared to an original sideoiler block from Ford?

Functional differences?

Improvements, if any in design, oiling changes, other things ???

Iron Materials used?

Manufacturing processes used?

Performance differences, if any?

Anticipated reliability due to improvements or drawbacks, if any?

Thank You.
