Schubeck lifters
I believe this is the lifter Robert Pond used in his 427 Fairlane to be the first stocker in the nines. This lifter allows the camshaft to be a roller profile and still fit the rules as a solid lifter camshaft in NHRA stock class racing. Granted that for stock class racing, the advertised duration and lift of the factory stock cam have to be adhered to but this lifter opens up a whole 'nother world in camshaft design in the area between those points.
I haven't heard any word on the life expectancy of this design.
