Default C6FE aluminum FE heads on Ebay

Does anyone have any information of these heads?? There is just something fishy about this. Any hard data would be greatly appreciated. RW

Quite a discussion over at www.fordfe.com about these. Some believe these to be the real deal GT40 heads. Some say Dove repops. Have a look! Very interesting. I'm leaning toward REAL. G.

Don't know much about the Dove heads, but thought they were original from the combustion chamber pitting that seems common in aluminum heads of the era. I would have thought the Dove heads used new metalurgy.

Actually, Dove has managed to carry on the tradition of crappy casting into the 21st century. I just finished a set of Dove Hi-Riser aluminum heads that have the identical pitting in the combustion chamber. It doesn't hurt anything, just looks lousy. My tunnel port heads are better, but not by a bunch.
I kind of got in the middle of that agrument on the FE site. I've worked on both aluminum originals and Doves and by looking at the supplied photos, they look much more like the Doves I've done than the set of originals I did.
I guess if the sell for $1,500, they're Doves. If the sell for $15,000,
they,re real
