Question Body seals (weather strip)

What is your preferences?????
Trunk -- on the body (keep the water out)
Hood --- on the hood ( don't look at it when up)
Doors--- on the door (don't tear it off on entering)

I belive Bob P. covered this some time back but can't find it

Trunk-on the body
Hood-on the body
Doors- on the body helps keep the door from chipping paint.

When I first had a 56 Bristle My Uncle told me that it isn't the kind of car that you worry about keeping the water out ,it's the kind of car you make sure the water can get out.
The seals aren't absolute they'll help but drains are important.I have to make some drains in my EM it holds water at back of trunk

Thanks Guys for the input I put 1750 miles on last year and notice one or two rub marks on one door and hood thought it would help.
Have to do something to the beast can't just let it rest under the cover beside ever time I walk by it whispers can we go kill bugs yet.

We have found that setting the seals as I said above tends to back the seals last longer. The ends do not get pulled when you open and close the door and the hood centers better on our cars.
