Default Head options for 427?

I have a 68 side oiler and I'd like to upgrade the "top end". The intake will probably be a Hollman/Moody with webbers. What are the aftermarket head options for the side oiler that some of you have used and how did you make your decision? How satisfied are you with your choices now that you have experienced you new heads?

Thanks in advance,

Snakecharmer

I assume your heads are '68's as well. If so, you can try to keep everything original and source the "rare" '65 MR big chamber heads. I was just talking to Bill Parnham about those just last week. The other option and common at that is to use aftermarket aluminum units from anyone one of the three or four manufacturers out there. It depends on your intent. For all out racing or hot street the aluminum probably offer more flexibility but will all cost about the same when done properly. I'd expect you to budget about 3K either way for the right job. Best wishes!
