CW,
I ordered my car Dec 30, 2003.
Talked with Gary Patterson today and have a relatively good feeling frame/body construction will commence within 2 months. Final assembly and delivery, 2Q of 2005. Don't hold me to this but CS is taking a lot of heat (for good reason) and is applying the necessary resources to get production back on track.
I believe SAI was too optomistic with their assessment figures of production with HST. Although HST is an excellent fabrication facility I don't think they were prepared for the entire task of constructing a turn-key minus auto.
What we do know is the final product is a quality piece.
Worth the wait...........that is up the individual putting down the deposit.
Me personally, I'm going to hang in there for a LITTLE while. My patients is beginning to wear but I am assured progress is around the corner.
By your location (NY) It's safe to assume your dealer is Billy Andrews, can't go wrong there, I have been very pleased with him, good guy.

Hope this helps,

Regards, Bret.

Ernie,
if you have not already done so...along with those new drag radials, plan on picking up a set of improved 30-spline stub axles and spider gears with a new posi carrier and clutches for that diff...

Otherwise, with enough torque and your new 12" clutch... in one or two launches it can easily turn out to be oooey goooey pretzel time on the stub axles and Captiain Crunch for those spider gears. Yum Yum!
