Just to clarify; the cam gear is not changeable. It either comes from the cam vendor with the std steel gear (cut into the cam billet material) or it has the optional presssed-fit cast iron gear.
If cam has steel gear - distributor needs bronze.
If cam has iron gear - distributor gear is stock.
If you use bronze dist gear be prepared to check occasionally for backlash and replace as required.
