427fe pic's!
I recently posted some pictures of my 427fe side oiler waiting for my CSX Cobra!
They are in my picture gallery. I can't get enough of looking at 427fe's.
Anybody else have a picture of there fe?
jdog
P.S. I tried to post them here but they are too big.

Nice.
Looks great. Hmmm, I know I've seen that checkerboard floor somehwere before... hehehe.
By the way, is anyone else running that intake on a CSX4000 like yours with enough clearance for a turkey pan or decent air cleaner? I only ask because I'm guessing its going to be tight, unless your motor mounts are dropped. I can't use that intake with a decent air cleaner on mine. Maybe you'll be able to. Just wondering, before you mount that beast in there. Can't wait to hear it. Good Luck.

It should fit!
Duane,
We went with this intake so that it would fit. I wanted to use a victor intake and Tom said that it would not fit. The RPM is lower.

Oh, sorry, I thought it was a little taller looking. Maybe it was just the picture angle and my mistake. Good deal.
Did you see the injected shelby motor on the stand recently? I did not get a chance to hear it, but it sure looks very cool. Lots of trick stuff on there...

Man, you've got a motor with no car, and I've got a car with no motor. Too bad we weren't closer or we could time share .

Shared custody!
Yeah Sal,
shared custody, like divorced parents, I get the car every other weekend!
Really, thanks guys. I thought that it would be in a Cobra long before this.
I only hope that my persistence pays off in the long run.
jdog
P.S. I got a really nice calif carhauler trailer collecting bird sh*t, sitting in my yard!

I am waiting on my 427 engine too. Seems as though the wait gets longer each time I have to do this. The plan is to have my engine completed the week of February 21 and run in not later than the 27th. My Blue Thunder Intake came in yesterday so now all my parts have arried. So far all that has been done is the Pressure testing and today they will start the boring and porting, so I am told.

Nice looking engine, jdog! You will like the RPM intake if you're just going to drive it on the street. Good street rpm range. The Victor's power band comes on much later. -Although, it doesn't take much TQ to get these cars going!
Hang in there.........you'll get that CSX! Sounds like help is on the way (from Superformance). Can't wait to see pics of the car!
BTW: Those are some mighty fine fish!

Here is one that I just listed on Ebay. I bought it for a Shelby Cobra I had on order. Ended up buying the car above with an aluminum 427 in it. I'm tempted if it doesn't sell, to pull the Shelby 427 and put this one in the car instead.

Jdog,
That is one nice looking engine you have built. Hope that you get some wheels for it soon.

DP, is that electronic FI?
Nice looking motor is that electronic fuel injecton. That is something that I thought would be a great future addition to my CSX.

It is a mechanical Hilborn fuel injection system that has been converted to electronic fuel injection. The previous owner had a machine shop install the injectors and all the plumbing and then fabricated a progressive throttle setup. Here is a picture showing the custom fuel rails and plumbing. He had the aircleaner housings machined from blocks of aluminum.
