Maybe it's a fairly late 69 casting and sports the two dots under the 9 because it might have been designated for a 1970 car possibly???? Just guessing but I'll ask someone who knows for sure and get back to you. And also with no casting number and factory solid lifter block an odd one. I'll be back.....G.

Hi Again FFR428,
I thought I'd better re check all the numbers on my block to make sure I'm not giving false information.
SO:
Front of block :
66 and 352
Bottom side/front of block :
9L26 and W
"
Side of block :
DIF and 42
Back of block :
xx and 352 (the xx was hard to read and its all bolted up now so I can't re-check without getting my mechanic to take off gearbox, clutch and flywheel. I'm no mechanic myself )
Question: Is it possible that I may in fact have a 1959 352 solid lifter?
Basically I'm making the assumption that the two dots mean every other decade instead of 70s IE 30s, 50s, 70s, 90s and without the dots is 20s, 40s, 60s, 80s
Looking in the book I have, earlier FEs didn't have XXXX-X numbers on the block but things like EDC although I don't see that ether.
Thanks for your help
Paul
