I work with a guy that has 2 427 side oilers still in the crate from ford. What are these motors worth? They are from 1965. Just curious because he plans to sell them when he retires......

There are several out there and the going price seems to be between $5000 and $7000. My engine builder that just finished building my 427 engine has two still in the original ford boxes as well. He wants $6000 each for his nos blocks.

Clois - is that right that a brand new complete 1965 427 unused in a crate is only worth the same as an unused bare block? That seems weird
